What to do in Repentigny during Oktoberfest?

July 30, 2026

With its tastings, shows, and numerous activities, OKTO, as we like to call it, has plenty to keep you busy all day long, no matter what brings you to the site.

WHY VISIT THE REPENTIGNY OKTOBERFEST?

The Repentigny Oktoberfest is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Quebec. For three days, Île-Lebel Park hosts nearly 80 exhibitors, including microbreweries, cideries, spirits producers, and food artisans, as well as a varied program featuring shows, workshops, entertainment, and family activities.

The Bavarian atmosphere is at the heart of the experience, but the festival above all showcases local expertise and Quebec products.

From green spaces and cultural attractions to cafés and gourmet shops, there are plenty of ways to round out your visit to Repentigny.

DISCOVER THE DIANE-DUFRESNE ART CENTER

Take advantage of your visit to stop by the Diane-Dufresne Art Center, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Located just a few minutes from Île-Lebel Park, this art venue presents exhibitions showcasing artists from here and abroad. This summer, it’s hosting Sur le fil rouge, a major exhibition dedicated to Marc Séguin, one of the most important figures in contemporary Quebec art. It’s an activity our team highly recommends, you can read our first-hand account HERE.

EXPLORE REPENTIGNY FROM THE RIVER

The St. Lawrence River is an integral part of Repentigny’s landscape, so why not take this opportunity to see the city from a different perspective? Heritage cruises offer a unique way to discover the city aboard the Longueuil V. For about two hours, a guide recounts the history of Repentigny, from its earliest inhabitants to the present day, while showcasing the scenery along the river. It’s an ideal activity for those who want to combine relaxation, heritage, and unique views of the city.

If you’d rather be in control of your own adventure, head to the Repentigny Water Sports Center, located in Saint-Laurent Park. Accessible via an electric pontoon boat, Île Annexe is a true playground in the heart of nature. There, you can rent a kayak, a stand-up paddleboard, or a rabaska to explore the river’s waters, as well as enjoy a host of activities on the island, such as volleyball, disc golf, pétanque, or simply relaxing in the designated rest area. Powered entirely by solar energy, this getaway offers a wonderful way to discover the river while enjoying a peaceful setting.

ATTEND A SHOW AT THE THÉÂTRE ALPHONSE-DESJARDINS
