Ville de Notre-Dame-des-Prairies

Notre-Dame-des-Prairies

The town's name of course derives from the plain that is the main feature of the local landscape.  A geographic attraction is the rural roads known as Première Chaloupe and Deuxième Chaloupe, due to the rowboat (chaloupe) shape formed by their meeting in two places. They are more than 200 years old. Follow the rustic trail by foot or bicycle in summer, or on skis in winter - an 8 km round trip. From Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, you can also reach the famous skating track on the L'Assomption River - a 9 km round trip.  In summer, stock up on some delicious local produce at the Régis Farm.
