Welcome to Snowmobile Country
Snowmobile Country awaits you with its 4,800 km of well-groomed trails. From mid-December to late March, set out for a soft or extreme adventure amid breathtaking scenery. Lanaudière rolls out its immense white carpet, offering snowmobilers the freedom to ride safely on superb trails across plains, in the heart of magnificent forests or in the northern mountains.
A variety of snowmobile routes
Our snowmobile network has a wide variety of trails that weave through remote backcountry terrain dotted with lakes and mountains. Unmissable destinations include the beautiful Montagne Noire, the highest summit in Saint-Donat. North of Lac Taureau, extreme riders will enjoy the mythical 360 trail that passes through the Mauricie National Park and Mattawin River dam. Go off the beaten track to the Mastigouche outfitters and enjoy a hot drink at the relay station. Take the new suspension bridge between Chertsey and Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci over the Ouareau River, then head into the atmospheric Ouareau forest and its magnificent century-old trees. If you’re still up for more, snowmobile across the St. Lawrence River from Sorel-Tracy.
Stay a bit longer
After a day of snowmobiling, treat yourself to a break and a good night’s sleep in a warm and comfortable lodge. Lanaudière has numerous accommodation options located near the snowmobile trails, including the renowned Auberge du Lac Taureau, as well as numerous outfitters offering overnight stays in cabins, the Grand R in Saint-Donat with its luxury condos, or the charming Auberge Val Saint-Côme and Auberge de la Montagne Coupée.
