Situated on the banks of the L'Achigan River, Saint-Lin- Laurentides is the birthplace of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, one of Canada's greatest Prime Minister (1896 to 1911). You can visit the national historic site established in his memory and attend one of the many festivities that take place here. The town is also a gateway to the region, via Route 158. Make a stop at the L'Achigan river park for canoeing, pedalboating, skating, or you might take in a show at the Salle Opale, which often stages summer theatre. Also, the whole family will be delighted to discover the herds of fallow deer and highland cattle at Les Museaux d'Écosse farm.
